Standard Terms and Conditions for Tanzfabrik Berlin Workshop & Course Programme
 

§ 1 - General: Membership, Registration, Prices

Our standard terms and conditions are liable for all training offers and agreements as well as the services of our course programme, the workshops and the Dance Intensive training programme.

a) Participation in any of our services requires a membership with the Tanzfabrik registered association. The annual membership fee is 5,-€ and is valid for 12 months from the payment date.

b) Participation in any of our classes or workshops requires registration and needs to be paid for in advance.

c) Valid are our designated prices at the time of print. Concession prices for the course programme are given only in connection with our multiple class card offers (10, 30 or 50 classes). There are no concessions for live music accompaniment. We reserve the right to change or substitute the teacher. Concessionary prices for the workshop programme are subject to the deadlines and conditions stated in the respective workshop programmes at the time of print.

§ 2 - Participation and payment

a) Single classes in the course programme
Payment for single classes entitles to participation in the class paid for only and payment must be done in advance. No discounts are given for single classes.

b) Multiple Class Card
Multiple class cards in quantities of 10, 30 or 50 classes are valid for 6 months. The choice of course is free. A combination of 30/60/and 90min classes is only possible on 30 and 50 class cards. The purchase of a multiple class card obliges the buyer to book one or more course (s) at the date of purchase. It is possible to pay in instalments. Unused classes on the card will expire with the date of validity on the card. Multiple class cards are not transferable.

c) Workshops
Registration for the workshops must be done in writing and requires payment of the full workshop fee. Concessionary rates are applicable until a certain deadline, please see the latest workshop programme in print or online for details. Your place is reserved as soon as the workshop fee arrives on our account. In case the workshop is full or cancelled we will refund the full fee.

d) Children’s classes
Registration and clarification of all terms and conditions must be done directly with the teacher. There is no class during the Berlin school holidays and on public bank holidays.

e) Dance Intensive Programme
Admission into the Dance Intensive Programme requires participation in a publicly announced open class, an information talk and approval by the director of the programme. In case a class in the course programme is full, the dance intensive students have priority access before all other course participants, provided they arrive on time to class or have previously announced their participation. As part of their training the Dance Intensive students can take 2 workshops free of charge and will get 20% concession (on the full price) during the training year and for another 12 months after the completion of the programme.

§ 3 Holiday or Illness

a) Course programme
In case of illness or other incidents that prevent participants from taking class, the missed dates can only be made up during the date of validity of the multiple class cards. No refunds will be given.

a) Workshops
Withdrawal from your registration can only be done in writing until the early bird booking date mentioned in the actual workshop programme. After that it is not possible unless you find a person to replace you. In any case we will withhold/charge an administration fee of 15,-€.

§ 4 Liability, Changing Rooms

a) Each participant must judge for themselves which technical level is appropriate to their experience and which exercises are within their physical range. Participation is always at ones own risk. Tanzfabrik Berlin e.V. cannot be made liable.

b) Cash and valuables should not be left in the changing rooms, but taken into the studio. Tanzfabrik Berlin e.V. does not take liability for lost property.

§ 5 Safeguarding clause

Should one of these clauses be found or become invalid, the other clauses will not be affected. Both parties commit to replace the invalid clause by a valid one, which is as close as possible to the original clause.


Court of jurisdiction is the local district court Berlin Tempelhof-Kreuzberg.
