In the frame of Open Spaces/Sommer Tanz 2017
DanceAbility invites all people to dance, recognizing each person’s unique body language and movement quality. It uses elements of Improvisation and Contact Improvisation to support each dancer’s ability to communicate within the group and find their individual movement language. This workshop focuses on presence in relation to space, time and the group. It is also relevant for people working with heterogenous groups in various pedagogical contexts. Another important aspect will be to seek opportunities for conversation within the group around topics of perfection and imperfection and the notion of heterogeneity in our society.
This workshop is open to all people that enjoy movement and dance, regardless of their physical, cognitive or cultural requirements. Bea Carolina Remark
Bea Caroline Remark is a DanceAbility trainer, dance and movement therapist, alternative practitioner. Further education in systemic constellation work, traumatherapy, Hakomi contemporary dance. She is spastically paralyzed since birth and understands herself as an expert on her own behalf, teaching workshops in dance, movement and humanistic therapy. She has been involved in a number of theatre and dance productions and has been collaborating with choreographers, dance artists, universities and a variety of different institutions in Germany. Most recently she has lead a project with physically disabled young people in Sibiu/Rumania with the Organisation Motivation.
