Profitraining
This class is designed to improve dancers’ kinesthetic fine tuning, space awareness, and stamina. Conscious breathing lays the groundwork for a clearer understanding of three dimensional and voluminous physicality. Based on floor work and dynamic standing sequences, we will aim to create a receptive and available body, capable of truly perceiving itself as it moves. Exercises promote versatility, offering the possibility to work on diverse qualities. Awareness is brought to specific motoric initiations, working with different forces, rhythmicality and space engagement. The class begins with exercises focused on preparing the body and mind for physical work. Warming up consists of diverse tasks to promote blood circulation, global mobilization and the strengthening of core muscles. Physically engaging somatic practices and conditioning are prioritized in this section. As the class develops, we will dive into more complex floor and standing phrases. Both forms are connected, and focus on strategic corporal organization, injury prevention, choreographic versatility and clear execution. vimeo.com/315419647
