Tanzfabrik Berlin condemns the invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops, the associated breach of international law and the open threat to peace in Europe.

Our thoughts are with all Ukrainians, and especially with the artists and cultural workers.

We declare our solidarity with all peace-loving people and we stand up for the protection of democratic, open societies.

Offers of support

The Artists at Risk website bundles information for refugees from Ukraine. Here, Ukrainian artists and cultural workers as well as dissident Belarusian and Russian artists can apply for support. Organisations can also register as hosts.

Here is a website where you can offer or search for accommodation for refugees:

With Kulturhilfe Ukraine, ifa, in cooperation with the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts, offers a contact point for cultural and artistic refugees from Ukraine and cultural organisations from Baden-Württemberg.

Together with other Berlin art institutions, the Akademie der Künste has launched an appeal for donations for refugees arriving in Berlin at the Neue Nationalgalerie. You can also find more ways to help on their website.

PEN Ukraine is organising a public fundraising campaign together with PEN Belarus, PEN Poland and the Open Culture Foundation. The funds will benefit Ukrainian writers, journalists, scientists, translators and artists who are threatened by the war.

Together with 60 Berlin cultural associations, LAFT Berlin has created a survey in which you can register your offer of help:  looking for accommodation and help with transport, but also other skills such as language skills.
