Nica Portavia ist eine italienische Tänzerin, Dozentin und Forscherin für Contact Improvisation, die sich schon sehr früh in Contact Improvisation verliebt hat. Sie trainierte hauptsächlich mit Dozent*innen wie Steve Paxton, Daniel Lepkoff, Charlie Morrissey, Angelika Doney, Asaf Bacharach, KJ Holmes und Anya Cloud. Sie organisiert nationale und internationale Tanzveranstaltungen, darunter das Italycontactfest (Internationales CI-Festival, das in Italien stattfindet und mittlerweile seine zehnte Auflage erreicht hat: www.italycontactfest.com); Being Touch Festival (www.beingtouch.org) und als Teil einer Gruppe das Ecite 2022 Portugal.
