S-9 / DanceAbility
In the frame of Open Spaces/Sommer Tanz 2017
DanceAbility invites all people to dance, recognizing each person’s unique body language and movement quality. It uses elements of Improvisation and Contact Improvisation to support each dancer’s ability to communicate within the group and find their individual movement language. This workshop focuses on presence in relation to space, time and the group. It is also relevant for people working with heterogenous groups in various pedagogical contexts. Another important aspect will be to seek opportunities for conversation within the group around topics of perfection and imperfection and the notion of heterogeneity in our society.
This workshop is open to all people that enjoy movement and dance, regardless of their physical, cognitive or cultural requirements. If needed please bring a person to accompany you during the workshop. Please contact Tanzfabrik if you need support or have questions (Tel. 030 786 58 61). Wheelchair accessible studio.
