Clément Layes lives and works as a choreographer and performer in Berlin since 2008. Together with Jasna L. Vinovrški, he founded the company Public in Private here (
www.publicinprivate.com). Clément's works move at the interface between choreography, visual arts and philosophy. His focus is on observations of everyday life. His performances - including "Allege"; (2010), "The Green Chair"; (2012), "Things that surround us" (2012), "Dreamed apparatus" (2014) and "TITLE"; (2015) - are shown internationally. In October 2017, the production "Die ewige Wiederkehr" was premiered at the Sophiensælen in Berlin. The group piece is the first choreographic work in a new series in which Layes explores the manifestation and mechanics of rhythm.
