Born in Barcelona, Pau Aran began his dance career at the age of eleven and trained diversely in Latin American dance, jazz, modern dance and classical ballet. He graduated from the Conservatorio Profesional de Danza 'Mariemma' in Madrid and the Folkwang Hochschule der Künste in Essen. From 2005 to 2020 he was a permanent member of Tanztheater Wuppertal - Pina Bausch and has been working with Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui since 2020. From 2013 he started independent choreographic creations, with a focus on interdisciplinary, collective work. Among his most important works are: Avui em veus, demà seré invisible (2013); Tres maneras and Mimosa (2016), Notes of Life (2019) and Lettre d'amour (2020). Currently, he is focused on developing his artistic expression through body language and contemporary dance.
