S-06 / Dancing Post-Human Fictions

Colette Sadler

In the frame of Sommer Tanz 2020 - Update coming 5.6.20!

This workshop will explore embodying the physicality and temporality of the artificial and post-human body, looking at relationships between human/non-human movement as well as between programm-ing, algorithms, and choreography. As we move forward what fictions can we use to reinvent the body and its movements? Taking the futuristic BODY A from Sadlers piece “Learning from the future” as a starting point, improvisation and choreographic tasks will explore imaginaries around the body as container, processor, and archive. As we move from A body to BODY A movement becomes aligned with data flows, networks and programs.
