Description

Starting point is the discussion of the aesthetic perception of dance and music. The visitor is invited to enter into a specific situation in which a physical object, a wooden hut, can be perceived from different perspectives and through different sensory levels. The object possesses auditory and kinaesthetic properties and changes the form in which it appears during the performance. A space within a space will be explored, where the balance of the auditory and the visual is negotiated.
“What moves moves” is the second collaboration of the musician Boris Hauf and dancer Christina Ciupke.

Performance: Christina Ciupke, Boris Hauf | Light: Mehdi Toutain-Lopez | Stage construction: Bodo Herrmann | Costumes: Nina Kramer. A Production of Christina Ciupke, supported by Senatskanzlei für kulturelle Angelegenheiten der Stadt Berlin.
Biographies

Christina Ciupke

Christina Ciupke (she/her) is a Berlin-based choreographer and performer. In her work she explores the fragile balance between the individual body and the world surrounding it. She interweaves traces of the past with present sensations and future imaginations. Drawing on the kinesthetic memory of her choreographic work she engages with central elements such as time, the body, the other, and (in)visibility. Close collaborations with other artists play a specific role in her practice. She holds a Master’s degree in Choreography from the Amsterdam University of the Arts.
