Breath & Asymmetrical Groove

Kurs with Danilo Andrés

The Dance Training consist of an intense warm up based on breath work. We build up a strong groove in the body to support an irregular, asymmetrical and unpredictable motion, and in so doing we challenge the logic of the anatomy of the body. The composition work consist in giving directions to the raw energy coming from the very core of the body ( cells, fluids, breath, beat of the heart).

Danilo Andrés

Danilo Andrés is a dancer/choreographer and visual artist based in Berlin. His work in visual, sonic and performance art has always been interrelated by incorporating multiple forms of media such as sculptural headpieces, costumes, photography and video. Since 2014, he has collaborated with artistic institutions in Berlin including Akademie der Künste and Neuköllner Oper, along with his work as a solo performer/dancer in cooperation with other choreographers like Minako Seki, Felix Ruckert (Schwelle7) and Okwui Okpokwasili ( Berlin Biennale 2018 at KW Institut for Contemporary Art ). In addition, he creates solo pieces for him self. Most recently in 2019 he has worked as dancer/performer for the queer artist Peaches, a production of Sommerfestival Kampnagel Hamburg and Volksbühne Berlin. He uses his multidimensional skills as a visual artist, performer and choreographer to research about the development of the body in queer context. http://daniloandres.com/
