Embodied Wishes – cancelled!

Performance-Projekt with Marco Rizzi

Everyone, at least once in their life, has had a wish!
As part of a longer research, Marco Rizzi invites participants into a physical exploration during which they will investigate the acts of making wishes and interpretations both individually and as a group. Images and behaviours, transformed in creative tasks and tools, will be the starting points for improvisation and choreography sessions. Wishes are personal, meaningful, and often secret. But why do we wish in certain ways? And what happens before, during, and after that moment?

Together we will explore unique ways of moving around the theme with the possible use of the voice and spoken words, diving deeply into what is authentic about the energy contained in the body as we express wishes. Physical states, going from being free to express wishes to almost the fear of doing so, will be approached deepening our understanding and meanings around the theme. The aim of this performance project is to create an open space for individuals to reflect and connect on the topic with their bodies and emotions.

Additionally there is a Contemporary class with Marco Rizzi from 05.06. – 12.07.2023 | Mon & Wed 18:15 – 19:45
This contemporary dance class focuses on activating the body and exploring different physicalities. It includes moments of guided improvisations at different levels in space, leading to short exercises/sequences as well as training musicality and awareness in relation to space and others. In each class, the flexible structure offers you the opportunity to expand and develop your skills, abilities and creativity while being introduced to different movement qualities influenced by my experiences in contemporary dance. As I continue researching while engaging in collaborations, participants in my classes can grasp tasks and tools that I personally found valuable over the years and that I am very happy to share and pass them on when I teach and choreograph.
