Description

This workshop deals with transformation of movement and the building of deep dance vocabularies that derive from a conscious stepping out of our comfort zones. Blenard addresses the "animal" instinct within us, employing dynamic movements, sharpness and speed. Using the body's sensibility as a brush, we will paint an imaginary landscape through dancing. The state of mind becomes a state of body. We constantly construct and de-construct movement, roughing it up in order to refine it and making it real. The warm-up consists of small improvisation tasks that build a common energy. Many small tasks slowly transform into many small stories that lead to a highly energetic dance combination: a complete narrative.
