Description

Daloy Movement is a uniquely Filipino approach to embodied movement and meditation, created by choreographer and healing arts facilitator Ea Torrado from the Philippines. Rooted in the Tagalog word daloy (flow), it blends contemporary dance, somatic awareness, and Filipino cultural values such as Bahala Na (sacred surrender) and pakikipagkapwa (shared humanity). Developed as a personal act of decolonization and self-liberation, Daloy invites participants—of any background—to reconnect with their bodies through trust, presence, and authentic movement. Guided by the energies of Air, Water, Earth, and Fire, this practice opens space for reflection, healing, and joy. Since 2014, Daloy Movement has been shared across the Philippines, Japan, Sweden, and the U.S., and now comes to Germany as an offering of Filipino spirit and embodied wisdom.
Biographies

Ea Torrado

Ea Torrado is a Filipina choreographer, dance educator, and healing arts practitioner whose work explores the body as a site of memory, identity, and transformation. Her pieces investigate themes of Filipino identity, feminism, decolonization, and embodied healing. Founder of Daloy Dance Company, Ea has created works that have toured across Asia, the U.S., and Europe. She has taught dance and somatic practices since 2002, blending classical, contemporary, and intuitive movement. With training in ballet, yoga, reiki, contact improvisation, and physical theatre, Ea’s workshops invite dancers and non-dancers alike into deep presence and liberation. Currently based in La Union, she creates works inspired by environmental care, spiritual inquiry, and collective healing.
