Description

Alessandro is returning to Berlin, bringing one of his creative workshops aimed at developing new tools for discovering different movement languages. The studio time will focus on exploring the connection and translation of images and text into movement, instant composition, and experimenting with directing one another in respectful and collaborative ways. Each day will be divided between preparing the body and mind, followed by a creative session. Alessandro’s classes have evolved over the years, starting in a calm somatic space and gradually moving into more energetic and engaging realms, with the goal of ending the first part of the day with an activated mind. The workshop begins with an inward focus on the individual's needs, before opening up to the group's collective connection. Through improvisational tasks and simple instructions, participants will develop body and spatial awareness. The guided creative experimentation invites the participants to create their own sequences based on the texts and images that Alessandro shares. There will also be opportunities to direct individuals or groups into moving collages, which could serve as the foundation for longer sessions or even an entire show.! Alessandro holds the space with care and joy. While he expects concentration and dedication, his workshops are always infused with a lighthearted and inclusive atmosphere.
