In Our Wildest Dreams is the fourth iteration of our annual Love Workshop Series.
Through dancing, sweating, and feeling together we ask: How can we imagine beyond (and beyond)? and What if imagining becomes visionary dreaming that is our superpower? We will engage with practical and fantastical queer love-centered survival practices for actioning a more just and sustainable future. Re-training the reflexes is central — to enliven our relationships with our ancestors to time travel and expand the gap between aliveness and endings. We tether this dance research to the realities of the world as we build skills together for whatever is next. We will train skills in collective dreaming, collective dancing, whatever the fuck, empathy, impact/absorb/release, witnessed solos to activate potential, wildness, touch, falling in love with gravity, fighting slowly, and more. We will continue building skills for navigating around that which has potential to be fatal. Dancing is the movement that has potential. We practice it, we do it, but we don’t know what it does, yet. Come research with us. In Our Wildest Dreams is a re-entry into our ongoing research questions "What can we do together that we cannot do alone?" and “What is possible when love is stronger than fear?”
Thank you, Tina Turner, for your song titles that continue to inspire our framing.
