Description

Chaos in dance is not disorder - it’s transformation. It’s the moment where control softens, instinct takes over, and movement begins to reveal its own rhythm. In this workshop, we will explore how small impulses can grow into powerful physical reactions, inspired by ideas from chaos theory. A single gesture, breath, or shift of weight can ripple through the body, the space, and the group - creating unexpected pathways for movement and connection. Through guided improvisation, we will experiment with spontaneity, rhythm, and interaction, allowing movement to emerge naturally rather than forcing choreography. Participants will discover how instinctive responses - to other dancers, to sound, and to the surrounding space - can evolve into a shared physical language and how instability can become structure. Inspired by patterns in nature - where randomness can generate surprising forms of logic - we will move through fluid exercises, shifting group formations, and playful improvisational scores that encourage both individuality and collective awareness. This workshop is open to everyone who wants to explore improvisation, deepen their physical awareness, and experience the creative potential of unpredictability.
