Hearts <3

Performance-Projekt with Martha Hincapié Charry

Hearts <3 opens a space to meet in an intimate an close dialogue, where we´ll make, through movement, a reflection about our bodies and their actual state.
The project will consider the notion of constant change in aspects related to the creation process and the final objective: the performance itself. In this context we´ll find a comfortable place for our traditions and habits and look over them to find something new. We´ll meet in our commonplaces with their breaks and well enrich them with self-control, transformation and transgression. The work concentrates on perception and the investigation of playful mechanics, mixing personality, technique skills and listening of the body in a constant dialogue between the interior, the exterior and the contex: space, bodies and time.
The body and the subjective relationship between general and individual humanness is presented in this project. Jean-luc Nancy introduced the concept of the “being-with”: a body is always in the first instance connected to other bodies, hence to other people: for something to be, this something must also be perceived, apprehended, experienced. Being has to be embodied…in bodies and through bodies.
Bodies are not stable entities, neither the world we are living in. HEARTS <3 will open spaces for subjective notions about the relationship between self, society and body, performing as a group, experiencing collective power and dancing duets or solos, developing a choreographie that convey the feeling of a stage piece. The final showing will be followed by an open-air physical encounter.

Fee: 180 € / red: 160 € / professional dancers: 140 € | Application for the project: mueller@tanzfabrik-berlin.de

Additionally you can join the open contemporary training
The concept of discovery in this training will constantly move us towards a broader understanding of different systems and dynamics of ever changing movement qualities that we will investigate, providing a framework to rise awarness in our bodies and to promote natural movement from our core. Through improvisation exercises we´ll train the alertness of mind and body and thereby gain more freedom of movement and confidence. We´ll approach a full body experience, a dialogue in movement, with images and exercises that shift the ways in which we experience our bodies as we move working with choreographed phrases. It is about the limits and possibilities of working in relationship with the environment, relying on each other, connecting with our senses, our weight and space/time feeling, activating and encouraging deep listening of the body. The physical result is a state of continuous observation that in this training will look for ways to constantly take us away from habits and open up solidified patterns of movement.

Mo & Wed 18:15-19:45 | Fee: For people joining the performance project: 110 € for the training period during the project / For everybody else: 10x card: 100 € / red.: 90 € / prof.: 75 €
