The class is suitable for beginners as well as intermediate dancers, who have the goal to practice contemporary dance. The basic technical principals such as transfer of weight, the body’s alignment in space and gravity will be trained and deepened. An organic and fluent movement sequence will emerge through simple relaxation and breathing exercises. The energy, the breathe and gravity will lead to a latitude of movement.
Johanne Castillo Bro
Johanne Castillo Bro studied Dance Pedagogy in Denmark following her dance education at the Iwanson Schule für zeitgenössischen Tanz. Since then she has danced in several dance
productions and companies in Paris, Munich and Berlin, amongst others MHK, Moebius, ACC/encorps, InSenso and Choreographers such as Katja Wachter, Willy Dorner, Jess Curtis, Gill Clarke, Rosalind Crisp, Eric Lecomte, Olga Cobos and Peter Mika. She has worked several years as a dramatic adviser and choreographer for the theater company C.O.C and with the director Yann Gonzales in Paris. Since 2009 she lives in Berlin and works as an independent dance teacher, dancer and choreographer, amongst others for the Staats Oper Berlin, Komische Oper Berlin, AbenteuerKultur dm-drogeriemarkt and teaches at Tanzfabrik Berlin since 2013.
