Urban Flow
Kurs with Robert van den Dolder
Urban Flow is based on The Sincerity of Impulse. Movement is propelled by impulses and chained to a person´s own emotions. Emotions are unique, and therefore give us our own dictionary of movement. In order to read this we truly need to follow our own impulses, no matter what. Even in choreography and class this remains to be more than crucial. In my opinion teaching is a guidance to one´s own sincerity, confronting stucked forms with a world of possible flexibility to develop our personal stories. My class is a crossover of contemporary, urban, jazz rhythms, improvisational and theatrical elements. Robert van den Dolder
Robert John van den Dolder is a dancer, performer, choreographer and teacher, currently living in Berlin. He studied at the Dance Academy Brabant in Tilburg, Holland and took private classes with Mr. Felix White (former teacher with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater) in Modern Jazz and the Katherine Dunham Technique, and with Norio Mamiya (former dancer with Béjart and Scapino). Worked amongst ohters with Pina Bausch / Tanztheater Wuppertal (Wuppertal, Germany), Folkwang Tanzstudio (Essen-Werden, Germany), Steptext Dance Company (Bremen, Germany), Onafhankelijk Toneel Rotterdam (Rotterdam, Netherlands), De Rotterdamse Dansgroep (Rotterdam, Netherlands), Cosmic Illusion Productions (A´dam, Netherlands) and Black Vibration Dance Theatre (A´dam, Netherlands).
