Presentation of the book „The Feminist Pornscapes, on feminist dramaturgical thinking in dance and performance practice“ by Ana Dubljevic.

 

The book of Ana Dubljević explores the notion of feminist dramaturgy and the ways in which dramaturgy can be experienced as a feminist practice. Her writing about dramaturgy is situated inside the collaborative practice of performance making, which at the same time opens many relations to the general questions about dramaturgy and its role in the performance work. Even if dramaturgy as a working practice quite often belongs to women, there is a lack of discourse on feminist dramaturgy. Ana Dubljević shows, how with the feminist framing of the procedures of work the collective processes and working methods can get a sharper and more profiled focus, where politics and ethics of performance practice is tightly entangled with the embodied materiality of performance work. Access Information

The book presentation is a discursive format and will be held in English spoken language.
The event will take place in Studio 4 of the Uferstudios, where the SichtBar2018 library will also be located throughout the Feminist School. It is a step-free and wheelchair accessible studio. The accessible toilet is located in the same foyer and can be reached via the interior in about 7m. For detailed directions click ↪ here.
