Description
On 18.09.2022 the performance and the artist talk are cancelled due to weather conditions.
Since 2020, «Aeon» has taken place every year at the Tanznacht on one of the last and most beautiful spots of wasteland in Berlin. Named after the Greek god of time and eternity and the unit of measurement for geological eras, «Aeon» addresses the time of landscapes.
With «Aeon III», artist Sandra Man continues her series of live art installations co-created with Moritz Majce, this time placing the focus on our feeling for our surroundings and asking: Where are we when we are there?
The live performance by Lisa Densem, Joséphine Evrard and Laura Siegmund on a piece of wasteland in Lichtenberg, in the middle of the city, evokes an alien expanse. Images of the installation in the Uferstudios invert and intensify our sense of space, turning it into a physical cavern. Linking boundlessness and closeness, exposure and security, «Aeon III» finds expression for our geo-existence.

Lisa Densem is a performer and choreographer from New Zealand who has been working in Berlin since 1999. Joséphine Evrard was born and grew up in France. Artist based in Berlin since 1996, she has been developing her work as a choreographer, performer and coach. Among others she has been working in collaboration with Meg Stuart, Irena Tomazin, Andreas Müller, Darko Dragičevič. Her last piece «The Root, dérives poétiques» was created in 2016 and shown at Sophinesaele / Berlin.
Laura Siegmund studied at the artEZ Institute of The Arts, Netherlands. Afterwards she went to Berlin for an engagement with Sasha Waltz. In recent years she has worked closely with the choreographer Margret-Sara Gudjonsdottir, the artist Sandra Man, the puppeteer Tibo Gebert and the director, set and costume designer Mirella Weingarten.
Laura Siegmund studied at the artEZ Institute of The Arts, Netherlands. Afterwards she went to Berlin for an engagement with Sasha Waltz. Biographies
Adam (aka Sandra) Man
Adam Man (he/they) works with performance, video, and text. His works bring audiences, performers, and landscapes into relations of unusual proximity. Rather than observing from a distance, visitors become part of a Live Environment: a shared field of perception and attention. Through choreography, spoken words, and video, he creates spaces of closeness and intensity in which a collective sensitivity for inhabiting the Earth can emerge. His work has been presented at venues including Tanzfabrik and Sophiensaele (Berlin), brut (Vienna), Metropolis Festival (Copenhagen), and Kunstraum Lakeside (Klagenfurt).
