The video installation „oscillating sky“ by Janine Iten plays with the effects of mirroring. Mirrors throw light back into space. They throw an illusion back into space, a visual feedback. Reflecting effects gamble with our perception. Illusions have the potential to question the notion of our space-time perception. In this case, the focus lies on the question of how space can be broken up and redefined. Intended is a slight spatial confusion of the perception by looking up, seeing a constant oscillation happening down on the ground and reflected up into the sky.
