Niemandszeit

Performance with deufert&plischke

In 1998 Thomas Plischke worked on his solo dance „Fleur“ as part of his final studies. At the same time Kattrin Deufert was writing a fictional diary entitled „Mythos Europa“ alongside her dissertation at the Free University of Berlin. Today the twin artists deufert&plischke are themselves supervising art students in their final seminar. The roles have been exchanged for “Niemandszeit”. The students are the mentors for the “revival” and will be melting the two works into one. Together with the audience they will be helping to reweave the movements with the text every time.

deufert&plischke

Kattrin Deufert and Thomas Plischke (together the artistwin deufert&plischke) live and work in Berlin. Over the past fourteen years, they have realized several theater projects that deal with situations of artistic production and the complex social dynamics and the logistics of artistic processes. Their works reach beyond the scope of dance and theater and focus on individual participation and daily life in artistic events. These works create different artistic environments that suspend the everyday by comprehensively integrating and processing it into art. www.deufertandplischke.net
