Elliott Cennetoglu

Elliott (he/they) bridges the worlds of live performance, writing, and community health. Known more recently for their lighting design work with Berlin-based artists such as Sheena McGrandles, Ana Lessing Menjibar, Kareth Schaffer, Enrico Wey, they also create platforms for community engagement since 2009. These events include “haircutting: a new platform for performance and dialogue,” “Over/Heard I and II,” and the co-curation of events such as “Hand Written Notes: 2016 Movement Research Festival" in New York. While completing their studies in Japanese Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Elliott began to imagine how to engage their communities in sharing knowledge and skills for self-treatment, and is currently developing workshops on Kink and East Asian Medicine, and Moxa for chronic illness.
