Thomas (he/they) is a Viet-German dancer based in Berlin whose practice is rooted in Whacking, a dance form they embrace as both a tool and a language for empowerment, resistance, and self-discovery. Through movement, they tell stories and explore what it means to embody presence with pride, vulnerability, and intention. Their dance grows from and returns to community, creating spaces where others can discover and express their own voices through movement. Beyond performing and teaching, they’re also part of shaping the scene outside the studio. As a member of Whacking Berlin, they have been co-hosting weekly Whacking jam sessions since 2023 and organising monthly Whacking BIPOC jam sessions since 2026. Since 2024, they have also been active in the non-profit association to the floor e.V., helping organise Whacking festivals such as 4 to the floor and Jack & Pose.
