A ritual in which the intimate and the public can coexist and support one another freely.

»Roger« erforscht Trost als öffentliche Geste der Fürsorge gegenüber dem Leiden des anderen. Dieses Solostück erfindet die Allegorie des untröstlichen Subjekts neu, um bei den Zuschauer*innen Zuneigung zu evozieren. Die Künstler fordern die leidende Figur – gekennzeichnet durch den Verlust von Gemeinschaft, Würde und Hoffnung – von reaktionärer Politik und Religion zurück und führen sie wieder in die Sphäre der Solidarität.

Roger Sala Reyner

Roger Sala Reyner ist ein Performancekünstler, Tänzer und Choreograf der in Berlin lebt und arbeitet. Roger absolvierte einen vierjährigen BA-Abschluss in Physical Theatre am „Institut del Teatre“ in Barcelona und einen BA-Abschluss in Choreographie an der „School for New Dance Development“ (SNDO) in Amsterdam. In den letzten zehn Jahren hat er regelmäßig mit bekannten Choreograf*innen zusammengearbeitet, unter anderem mit Meg Stuart und Jefta Van Dinther. Roger versteht seine eigene künstlerische Praxis als kollaborative Prozesse und entwickelt derzeit eine gemeinsame Arbeitsplattform mit dem Choreografen Guillaume Marie und dem Dramaturgen Igor Dobricic. Roger ist auch ein langjähriges Mitglied von „John the Houseband“, einer nomadischen, performativen Amateurmusikgruppe.

Guillaume Marie

Guillaume Marie (1980, Frankreich) lebt in Paris. Er begann sein Studium an der Ballettschule der Pariser Oper von (1990 – 1995) und schloss es 1999 am Nationalen Konservatorium für Musik und Tanz in Paris ab. Er begann sofort seine Karriere als zeitgenössischer Performance-Künstler und arbeitete u.a. mit Itzik Galili, Thierry Smits, Martin Butler, Jonathan Capdevielle, Guilherme Bothelo, David Wampach, Gaëlle Bourges, Cindy Van Acker, Jan Fabre, Romeo Castellucci und Gisèle Vienne zusammen. Seit 2005 entwickelt Guillaume seine eigenen Arbeiten und leitet die künstlerischen Projekte von Tazcorp, einer in Paris ansässigen Kompanie.

Igor Dobricic

Igor Dobricic, born in Serbia, lives in Berlin. He completed his undergraduate studies in Theatre, Film, Radio, Television and Dramaturgy at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade and attended a Master of Theatre at the DasArts in Amsterdam. From 1995 to 1999 he worked as a dramaturge at the Belgrade International Theatre festival (BITEF). In 1999 he moved to Amsterdam and worked until 2008 as the program officer for the arts at the European Cultural Foundation. In 2009 he received the position of fellow researcher at the Amsterdam School of the Arts where he articulated a long term project called Table Talks. From 2010 to 2011 he was the in-house dramaturge of Het Veem Theatre in Amsterdam. During this period he also regularly teaches dramaturgy, concept development and philosophy at the Amsterdam School for New Dance (SNDO). 
 As a dramaturge he is working internationally with choreographers and creators such as Guillaume Marie, Diego Gil, Jenny Beyer, Shannon Cooney, Meg Stuart amongst others. He is also active as an advisor and mentor with continuous engagements from different theatres and insitutions (K3, DasArts etc.). He is regularly invited to give workshops and lectures at Art/Dance Festivals and educational platforms as ImpulsTanz, Vienna; Tanzfabrik, Berlin and many more. His long standing professional interests lie in public events situated in the in-between of different contexts. Thus he moves between theatre and visual arts, professional and non professional status, individual and group work, aesthetics and ethics.
