My Body in Dialogue

Kurs with Miriam Rose Gronwald

In this class we will work with the physical narrative of a traditional yoga class within the space of improvisational movement. Using the practice of yoga asanas as a starting point, we will approach a deeper conversation between the inner and outer happenings of our body by taking the time to explore our movement vocabulary in relation to our wellbeing, as individuals and a group.

The class will be built up in two parts. The first half will consist of a small yoga sequence referenced to the Ashtanga Primary Series - allowing us to warm up the body, settle the mind and create a space for a deeper sense of listening within. Later we will carry out this energy into the space of movement improvisation. Through different tasks and tools we playfully practice an honest presence within our improvisation by bringing our choice of movement in closer relation to our inner state of being.
