Subcutaneous subtexts lie dormant in each of us. Movements, dances, words, stories, songs, yet to be unearthed and shared. Which stories we didn’t know existed, unfold before our eyes and under our skin, while we sense our bodies and move? How do we get a hold of them without breaking their delicate butterfly wings? This project is an experimental construction site where we investigate endless feedback loops between the improvising sensing body and the usage of words. On an individual as well as a group scale. When and where does the switch between actor, spectator and writer happen; or can one be all at once? Over the weeks of work, Parent’s movement, singing and writing scores become the threads of a web knitted through space and between the authors/ performers, a collective sculpture that reveals something that didn’t know it wanted to be told.
Additionally there is a Contemporary class with Manon Parent from 01.06.–08.07.2026 | Mon & Wed 18:15-19:45
In this open class, Manon Parent shares tools that allow her to sustain her activity as an interdisciplinary performer. It consists of technical physical conditioning, somatic awareness, spatialization of the body and vocalizing exercises. All of it converging toward a more attuned body and mind relationship and thus «readiness» for the unknown. The second part of the class will be dedicated to improvising alone and with others, generating and harvesting creative resources while following spontaneously guided movement tasks. The classes might involve sometimes partnering-based proposals.
