A contemporary dance workshop exploring conscious movement by shaping our personal identity as movers. Recognizing that movement influences the brain, we will decode motion through images, words, sensations, and memories, fostering a deeper, more essential connection to our bodies. The first part of the workshop will focus on warming up the joints and spine, gradually increasing rhythm and complexity. We will alternate between floor work and various levels, preparing an intelligent, responsive body capable of navigating new kinetic pathways. In the second part, we will engage in choreographic composition, exploring dynamic variations, movement qualities, and tonal shifts. Each dancer will analyze the meaning and value behind their movements, aiming to cultivate an authentic relationship with the kinetic material. This research challenges both body and mind, embracing an experiential approach to interpretation—moving beyond the mere execution of steps to embody deeper expression and presence.
