TECH 2 — LAB 1 by Clémentine Deluy and Nicola Mascia consists of alternating, contrasting but complementary technical classes by each and a daily joint creative lab. Clémentine’s class shares the vocabulary by the Folkwang University of the Arts with inherited exercises and questions what makes us move. Nicola’s class is guided movement research to awake and stimulate a higher level of sensoriality, with a particular emphasis on touch and the technicality of contact. The lab focuses on personal experimentation and performative strategies. Deluy and Mascia will share their practices through improvisational scores, triggering personal languages, developing instant composition awareness, encouraging risk taking and challenging the participants beyond their comfort zone into unexpected territories of corporeal emotionality.
