Description

The Earth is a foreign planet. Every day it shows a different face.

There is no piece, no premiere, no stable frame. »Chora« will grow in time over 5 days up to 16 hours on the last. The whole space will be different every day. In varying media, constellations and rhythms 12 performers will appear in images of technonature, texts of terrestrial phantasies, on mobile objects as unsolid grounds. How to inhabit and how to visit an ever changing space? »Chora« is a space choreography, a liquid environment of objects, performers, images, texts and sound.

Biographies

Moritz Majce

Moritz Majce (he/him) is a Berlin-based movement artist who works on shared space choreographies: moving installations and walk-in performances. His artistic practice explores what takes place between bodies in the presence of each other. Since 2019 he has been working on Relational Flow, a collective movement practice for dancers that incorporates the bodies and senses of the audience.  www.moritzmajce.com  instagram.com/moritzmajce

Adam (aka Sandra) Man

Adam Man (he/they) works with performance, video, and text. His works bring audiences, performers, and landscapes into relations of unusual proximity. Rather than observing from a distance, visitors become part of a Live Environment: a shared field of perception and attention. Through choreography, spoken words, and video, he creates spaces of closeness and intensity in which a collective sensitivity for inhabiting the Earth can emerge. His work has been presented at venues including Tanzfabrik and Sophiensaele (Berlin), brut (Vienna), Metropolis Festival (Copenhagen), and Kunstraum Lakeside (Klagenfurt).
