Description

Silent Trio is an ongoing project of Christina Ciupke and Darko Dragičević that unfolds in different chapters. It started in January 2020 and it will expand until October 2021. Throughout the project the two artists are exploring the interralation between nature and man-made objects. In this particular chapter Christina and Darko will open the landscape of their growing physical research material  to their audience, which is dedicated to unfinished archives.  They will focus on different qualities of movement that are triggered by internal and external states of consciousness.

Biographies

Christina Ciupke

Christina Ciupke (she/her) is a Berlin-based choreographer and performer. In her work she explores the fragile balance between the individual body and the world surrounding it. She interweaves traces of the past with present sensations and future imaginations. Drawing on the kinesthetic memory of her choreographic work she engages with central elements such as time, the body, the other, and (in)visibility. Close collaborations with other artists play a specific role in her practice. She holds a Master’s degree in Choreography from the Amsterdam University of the Arts.

Darko Dragičević

Darko Dragičević (he/him) born 1979 in Belgrade, is a Berlin based visual and performance artist, filmmaker and lecturer. In his artistic practice, he explores the interfaces between visual art, choreography, performance, video and film across different media. Dragičević’s work reflects a critical examination of the conditions of artistic production in a post-capitalist, high-performance society and focuses on the aesthetics of economy, identity, labor, activism and social organisation.  darkodragicevic.com
