Whitney Cover

Whitney Cover is a performer, scholar, and educator whose current research is focused around the intersection of the body and environment—both built and naturally occurring. Prior to her relocation to Berlin, Whitney was the primary Teaching Fellow for Harvard University’s Theater, Dance, and Media concentration and a Teaching Artist for the Harvard Dance Center, under the direction of Jill Johnson (Frankfurt Ballet/The Forsythe Company) —with whom Whitney co-taught several courses over the years. Whitney was a founding member of Boston Dance Theater, performing the works of Itzik Galili, Yin Yue, and Sidra Bell, as well as working with many local New England choreographers as a freelance artist. She served as Adjunct Faculty at Endicott College as well as a guest speaker for the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston’s dance performance series during her time in Boston. She holds an Ed.M., Arts in Education from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education, an M.A., Dance Performance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance (London, UK), and a B.A. Dance from the University of California, Irvine.
