Moving Futures - Ein Tanztag mit und für Familien und Künstler*innen aus der Berliner Tanzszene

Open Program by AG Tanz und Elternschaft

An important concern of Tanzfabrik Berlin BÜHNE is the increased accessibility of events for caregivers and families. For this reason, at the end of November the AG Tanz und Elternschaft (Working group on Dance and Parenthood) will move into the Weddinger Studios for two days for the first time. As part of their network meeting “Moving Futures,” the networked association of ZTB e.V., established in 2020, will open its program to the public on 29 November. A generation-spanning space should then emerge, in which it will be practically and theoretically explored how performances in the performing arts can be made more inclusive. Parents, children, neighbors, dancers, and dance-curious people are warmly invited to experiment, celebrate, and experience together.
The multifaceted program consists of workshops, showings, a co-learning space, and a Kids-and-Caregivers-Dance-Party — plenty of opportunities to experience dance, try out creative experiments, and co-create! Snacks and beverages will be provided.

AG Tanz und Elternschaft

The AG Tanz und Elternschaft (Working Group on Dance and Parenthood) was founded in 2020 at Zeitgenössischer Tanz Berlin e.V. It advocates for better working conditions for dancing parents and for the cultural participation of caregivers. In 2023, it developed the “Kids & Caregivers Rider,” an actionable recommendation with concrete impulses on how venues can implement family- and parent-friendly events. Artistically and culturally policy-active, the Working Group develops formats that remove obstacles and open up new spaces.
Duration approx. 360 Min
Freier Eintritt. First come, first served.
Supported by Tanzfabrik Berlin BÜHNE, the Wedding Center District Fund, and Studio Alta (Prague). Tanzfabrik Berlin BÜHNE is funded by the Senate Administration for Culture and Cultural Affairs of the State of Berlin.
