Accessibility

Information on accessibility can be found at the individual events, and on how to get there at Tickets & Getting There.

↪ Relaxed Performances
Relaxed Performances would like to welcome all visitors for whom sitting still for a long time in the theatre is a barrier (for example autistic people, people with Tourette's, with learning difficulties or chronic pain). Noises and movements from the audience are welcome. Visitors can leave and return to the auditorium at any time.

Listening to and feeling contemporary dance: Haptic Access Tour + Audio Description
In order to make its programme accessible to blind and visually impaired people, Tanzfabrik Berlin Bühne offers audio descriptions and tactile tours - so-called Haptic Access Tours - for selected events.

Audio descriptions take place parallel to the respective performances. A professional speaker describes visual details such as movement, gestures, facial expressions, scenery, costumes and props. The audio descriptions are usually live audio tracks that are transmitted to the audience via a wireless headphone system.

Haptic Access Tours take place before the performance. The live tours allow visitors to experience the space, the performers, the costumes and props as well as the most important movement elements of a performance through touch and their own movement.
