Description

The work explores care as embodied labour, examining how caregiving shapes bodies, identities and social relations. At its centre are three performers whose lives combine artistic, educational, administrative and family responsibilities — revealing forms of labour that remain largely invisible, despite being essential to everyday life. Through choreography, storytelling and humour, the performers' bodies become living archives of care, responsibility and endurance. The work connects to a long history of women from former Yugoslavia working as caregivers across Europe, particularly in Germany, where migrant care labour remains a crucial yet often undervalued part of the care system. In doing so, it speaks to the pressures of ageing populations, labour shortages and the growing crisis of care in European societies.

Family-friendly environment (13.9., 4 p.m.)

In the afternoon performances adressed as «Family Friendly Environment - All families welcome», parents and caregivers are warmly welcome together with their children. Although the performances are not specifically designed for young audiences, we aim to create a family-friendly environment, both outside and inside the studio. We understand if children cannot sit still throughout and families may wish to leave the performance in between or earlier. Unfortunately, we are not yet able to offer childcare. Admission is free for all accompanied children up to and including the age of 12.
