Description

What is the relation of cloth with the ocean? Do we immediately think of water when we think about fashion, style and costumes? This original introductory workshop to the world of fabrics and fibers moors away from conventional and industrial narratives about fashion and sets sails onto a unique multidirectional journey through the origins and foundations of the clothes we wear. Info to Participants: For the workshop, you can bring materials from your own home (not required but encouraged) such as scraps of fabrics or old unused clothes, tools for sewing such as scissors, textile dyes etc. Some basic materials and tools will also be provided. Participants do not need to have prior experience in sewing.
