Shape Festival

Imagine a festival for all generations — conceived by young people! What would that look like? To find out, six teenagers from Berlin got together: Greta Hamm, Fedor Herrmann, Onyx Langwaldt, Paloma Rane-Groc, Cynthia Schwartz, and Emma Spindler developed and curated the Shape festival together with Tanzfabrik Berlin BÜHNE. 

At the center is the thesis "Everything is political." Shape tackles it through concrete topics like looted art and ethical consumption — and the questions they raise, such as: How would we walk through museums, how would we shop, if we knew exactly where things came from? 

The festival approaches these and similar questions through various formats that all invite exchange: contemporary dance performances, practical workshops, mending clothes together, community discussion rounds, experimental poetry slams — and, of course, a Halloween party! With Shape, we want to create a safer space for collective reflection that invites people to linger for hours and is dedicated to becoming aware of all the political aspects of our everyday lives.
