Jasna L. Vinovrški, born in Zagreb, works as a performer, choreographer and teacher. After her graduation at Folkwang Hochschule Essen, Vinovrški has been working as professional dancer and performer for various European dance companies. ”Which Club?”, one of her first choreographic works, was awarded several times. In 2006 Vinovrški received the scholarship from Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg and DanceWeb scholarship from Goethe Institute. In 2008 she founded the company Public in Private, together with her partner Clément Layes.
In 2012 Jasna gained her MA degree in choreography at the HZT University Berlin. In 2014 she was invited to participate in the two-year EU-Canada project “Migrant Bodies”. This collaboration resulted with her solo work “Staying Alive”, which has been on tour in Europe, Canada and New York since 2016. In addition to her artistic activities Vinovrški regularly teaches at art academies such as the HZT in Berlin, the HfMT in Cologne, the ADU in Zagreb and the Mimar Sinnan University in Istanbul.
