As part of the citywide action week #DeineStimmeFuerKultur  we would like to draw your attention to a position paper jointly developed by 14 independent Berlin theatres, including Tanzfabrik Berlin BÜHNE, and addressed to Berlin’s political decision-makers. The paper outlines key recommendations for a forward-looking cultural funding policy for the independent performing arts in Berlin. It calls on policymakers to protect opportunities for cultural practitioners despite budget constraints and to ensure that the cultural heart of the city continues to thrive.
The signatory theatres also endorse the Joint Declaration of Berlin’s Cultural Sector for the 2026 Berlin Elections, which can be read on the #BerlinIstKultur website.
