Then this project is for you.
If you're entering the 10th or 11th grade in the 2025/26 school year and have time from October 2025 to July 2026, then you are warmly invited to apply to co-create the very first edition of a new professional arts festival.
You don’t need any prior experience in art or dance – just your curiosity and commitment.

We, the Tanzfabrik Berlin BÜHNE team, will select 7 young people to take part in this project. Together, and with support from us, you will design, plan, and realise a festival that reflects your vision and creativity, aimed at a general audience. You will collaborate directly with professional artists and a professional staff.
↪ Who we are
Tanzfabrik Berlin is a space for dance art, choreography, and performance. We bring people together. Our work is rooted in the utopian, sensual, and critical potential of dance and performance. We support the many different forms this artistic practice can take, including research, production, presentation, education, and outreach.
↪ Here’s the plan
From October 2025 to July 2026, weekly meetings will take place on Tuesdays at 5:00 PM for approximately 90 to 120 minutes in the office of Tanzfabrik Berlin BÜHNE at the Uferstudios (Berlin-Wedding).
Additionally, between October and December 2025, there will be approximately four group visits to art events planned on Saturdays.

During this year-long program, you will:
↪ as part of the leadership team, develop a festival program, which will be presented to the public in September 2026.
↪ be responsible for decisions regarding budget, venue, participating artists, and communication strategies.
↪ gain hands-on experience in how a festival is created in close collaboration with cultural professionals and the Tanzfabrik Bühne team – including production, tech, communication, and social media.
