Teensfabrik – Let's Move!

Come, dance with me! Eléa’s dynamic contemporary dance class invites you to discover contemporary dance. She loves working with a wide variety of music, will teach short sequences, incorporate technical elements such as floorwork basics, and explore the joy of improvisation with you.

Ages 12 and up

Eléa Fourest is a Berlin-based independent dancer, dance educator, and production manager for the Dance Intensive program at Tanzfabrik Berlin. Eléa co-directs a youth company with her parents and, in collaboration with musician Nils Brzoska and the youth company of “Tanzparcours,” choreographed her first production, “surprise,” which premiered in June 2023 at the T-Werk in Potsdam.

This class combines Hip-Hop with influences from a variety of Afro-diasporic dance styles, including House, Afro, Body Percussion, and Krump. Together, we will learn choreography while developing our freestyle skills. The class is designed as a safe space for creative expression, where everyone is encouraged to bring in their own ideas and explore them together with the group. Each session begins with an intensive warm-up and stretching to prepare both body and mind for training. Alongside technique, choreography, and freestyle, the focus is on personal growth, self-confidence, and the joy of dancing together. At the end of each class, we share what we've learned with one another, whether through a freestyle cypher or by presenting our choreography. By inspiring and supporting each other, we create meaningful shared experiences, both in the studio and beyond.

Ages 14 and up

Selin Tuncer is a member of the Bordaboogies crew and has many years of dance experience, particularly in show dance, body percussion, and freestyle, with a focus on hip-hop. Alongside her own artistic work, she regularly teaches young people, combining creativity with personal expression in her classes. With her crew Bordaboogies, she has won the Show Contest at the CDC Dance Festival in Berlin multiple times and has performed on stage for ALBA Berlin as well as alongside Peter Fox. Their dance theatre production Mimeomia was presented at the Berliner Festspiele in the context of Tanztreffen der Jugend and was featured in a dance magazine. Selin doesn't just dance herself; she also organizes, curates, and hosts battles such as the O3OG Battle and Club Oval Junior.  Through her teaching, Selin aims to share her passion for dance while empowering young people in both their artistic and personal development.

In the Ballet Goes Contemporary class, classical ballet technique meets a contemporary understanding of movement. The class teaches a solid foundation in technique—from barre exercises to turning and jumping techniques, all the way to short dance combinations. This strengthens strength, balance, and coordination, as well as body and spatial awareness. At the same time, it creates space for individual expression, creativity, and the joy of movement. With precision, versatility, and a contemporary approach, Chiara teaches a style of dance that balances strength and lightness. The first half of the class is devoted to barre exercises, with a focus on warming up and building a solid technical foundation. In the second part, the techniques learned are applied in the center and incorporated into technical, creative, and choreographic exercises. Depending on the focus, we work on turns, jumps, or step combinations, combining classical technique with contemporary elements. Individual expression and, above all, the joy of dancing are at the heart of the class.

Ages 16 and up

Chiara Schmiedel graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Dance in Education from ArtEZ University of the Arts in Arnhem. She continued her training in Barcelona with the Junior Company FREE BODIES under the direction of Nadine Gerspacher. Since 2024, she has been working as a freelance dancer and dance educator in Berlin. Her solo work White Lilies has been presented at various stages and festivals, and she performs with the performance collective Collapsetofraction. In 2026, she was awarded first prize in the Solo/Improvisation category at DANCE SLAM Vol. 03. In her teaching, Chiara combines emotion, expression, strength, and sensitivity while working with people of different ages and experience levels. Since 2026, she has been leading the KidsCompany at Papillon Tanz Studios, focusing on the creative and dance theatre development of children and young people.
