Even Tanzfabrik Berlin only gets to turn forty once – and is celebrating this milestone with Open Spaces in October and November for the third time, since, after all: all good things come in three!
Over its many years of existence, Tanzfabrik Berlin is a center for contemporary dance, providing a home for unconventional thinkers as well as moving philosophies, spatial discourses and stage formats developed far from the mainstream. Queer perspectives play a role in »Open Spaces#3-2018«, just like the immersion in an absurd universe, the meaning of time or a duet with a piano. Amongst others, the fall edition presents the work of five artist (groups) from the European network advancing performing arts project. We are tremendously excited to be able to present the two performances »Hot Bodies - Stand Up« and »Conversations out of Place« in Berlin – and are especially pleased that we have been able to present Gérald Kurdian and Ivana Müller in Berlin with two extraordinary works that have been acclaimed internationally. We look forward to seeing you at the performances!
